Percussionist, educator, and composer Aaron Lack has performed concerts and clinics throughout North America and Europe and has been living and performing in the Austin, Texas area for six years. Before 2000 he was living in the Mid Michigan area and performing in Detroit, Lansing, and Grand Rapids Michigan. Lack has performed on vibraphone, drums, steeldrum, congas and other percussion instruments with Robben Ford, John Primer, Joe Bonamasa, The Robert Hohner Percussion Ensemble, Alex Acuna, David Friedman, David Samuels, Ndugu Chancelor, Terry Gibbs, Ken "Professor" Fillmore, Andy Narrell, James Brown drumming legends Jabo Starks, and Clyde Stubblefield, The Ernie Durawa Trio, The David Palmer Quartet, The Brannen Temple Quartet, John Fremgen, Donna High Tower, AIME, Earl "Pool" Ball, The Midland(MI) Symphony Orchestra, The Golden Arm Trio, Michael Shay, The Drew Smith Band, The Invincible Czars, The Stingers ATX and many more.

Lack's jazz festival appearances include the Montreaux/Detroit Jazz Festival, The Notre Dame Jazz Festival, The Grand Rapids Arts Festival, the Austin Jazz Festival, The Texas Jazz Festival, and the University of Texas Jazz Festival. Lack is currently performing in the Austin area with the Aaron Lack Trio, RokkaTone, The Drew Smith Band, The Aaron Lack Steel Trio, The Chris Vestre Group, Manteca Beat, Ted Hall and the Pleasure Cats, Los Jazz Vatos, The Monstas, and many other projects encompassing a broad range of musical styles.

Lack earned Bachelor's Degrees in Music Education and Music Composition from Central Michigan University, where he studied with percussionist Robert Hohner and composer David Gillingham. He then earned a Master's degree in Music Performance at the University of Texas where he studied with percussionists George Frock, and Tom Burritt, pianist Jeff Hellmer, and bassist/composer John Fremgen.
