Chuck Pinnell

Chuck teaches Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, Mandolin & Uke.

From the main stage of the Kerrville Folk Festival to the governor’s mansion; at Symphony Square or over the airwaves at K.U.T., Chuck Pinnell has performed on the classical guitar & won acclaim.

A graduate of North Texas State and a veteran of Austin’s vibrant music scene, Chuck is recognized as one of the city’s finest emerging artists. In addition , he has composed evocative guitar scores for four feature films, including the international hit, Last Night at the Alamo.

Chuck Pinnell’s musical background includes a study of the Classical & Jazz guitar at North Texas State University, composition at the University of Texas. Through years of performing , composing, recording, and teaching. Chuck has developed a unique instrumental style that blends elements of Classical, Jazz, Flamenco, and Folk.

Chuck Pinnell has been a sought after teacher in Austin for over 18 years, and on the staff at Austin Guitar School since 1995. Over the years Chuck has developed an informal approach to the Classical guitar, which emphasizes learning by ear and guitar tablature, over slower more traditional methods. He is also experienced in teaching a variety of other styles including; rock, blues, jazz, folk & country.

Chuck regards each student as unique, with a highly individual set of needs and goals, and has created a patient and very flexible teaching style that ensures a high rate of success.
