Summer Band Camps Enrolling Now!

Austin Guitar School’s summer band camps are a perfect way for your kids to beat the heat, play guitar and perform with AGS instructors and other students. Sessions are a week long with 7 different weeks to chose from beginning in June and ending in August. Every class is supervised by our staff, and amps and audio equipment are provided. Cost is $400 per person, payable anytime before lessons begin.

Students can learn rock, blues or jazz on virtually any instrument, including electric and acoustic guitar, bass, keyboards, voice and drums. We also welcome the ukelele, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, trombone and trumpet.

Lessons

Private lessons cover a variety of styles and topics, and are tailored to the interests and skill level of each individual. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, we'll match you with an instructor and lesson plan to achieve your goals and meet your budget.

Group Classes

Blues Guitar

Learn how much fun playing blues guitar can be! This class will focus on the chords, scales, and progressions relating to the blues and expose you to the varied styles of early folk, country, and Delta (covering) finger picking, open tunings, and slide), as well as Chicago and contemporary blues.

Bring your guitar (acoustic preferred) to class. Class meets at the Austin Guitar School.

Attendance at first class is mandatory.

The class meets every Tuesday night from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for eight weeks beginning on Jan 10, 2012 and costs $75.

Bass Class

The class provides an introduction to the instrument, a quick look at some basic music theory, and an overview of how those ideas apply to styles such as country, blues, rock, and funk. See ways to enroll below.

ADDITIONAL BASS CLASS ADDED!

Due to popular demand, we’ve added another bass class. It will meet Mondays at 6:00 p.m. for 8 weeks starting on Feb 13 and ending on May 3. Cost is $75 per person.

The class dates are Feb 13, 20 ,27, March 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3.
